Altered Art

Do you ever feel like a painting is missing something? That in the background of that Victorian manor those highland hills would look just a smidge better with a dragon flying over them? Perhaps that is just me and my dragon obsession.

Welcome to “Altered Art.” In this program, we will be adding to prints of paintings. You can paint, draw, cut, glue, and any other form of alteration you see fit to add your artistic flair to a pre-existing art piece. We have seven prints available for this project and all the supplies you will need. If you have a print at home that you would like to bring to alter feel free to bring it along! In the world of stories and legends, in the walls of a library, what better place to be inspired?

Dates: October 16 to October 27 (or when we run out of prints to alter)

Where: At the Belmont Free Library

When: During the library hours (Monday 1 PM to 5 PM, Tuesday 1 PM to 7 PM,

Thursday 9 AM to 3 PM, and Friday 1 PM to 5 PM)

Come enjoy the fun during the mystical time of October!

About Curtis Decker

Happy to be here and to open the library to all in need. I love talking about stories, drawing, farming, and hiking. Come in for books, conversations, and to share in the atmosphere of our historic small town library. A magical place of stories and wonder.
